I ATTENDED PCC WHERE I PLAYED BASEBALL UNTIL 1972, WHEN I MANAGED TO GET DROPPED FROM A CLASS, LOST MY STUDENT DEFERMENT, AND GOT DRAFTED. I WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED IN 1974 AND STARTED WORKING FOR THE IRS AND GOING TO SCHOOL PART TIME AT CAL STATE L.A. WHERE I MAJORED IN "ACCOUNTING". I LEFT THE GOVERNMENT IN 1985, AFTER FINALLY GRADUATING (THAT'S RIGHT 15 YEARS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL) AND ENTERED PRIVATE PRACTICE IN SIERRA MADRE AS AN ACCOUNTANT WHERE I WORK FOR KELLY AND ASSOCIATES (I'M THE ONLY ASSOCIATE). I WAS MARRIED IN 1981 AND DIVORCED IN 1992. I LIVE IN GLENDORA WITH MY 2 SONS, PATRICK (21), A VALEDICTORIAN FROM GLENDORA HIGH 2002 AND RECENT GRADUATE FROM HILLSDALE COLLEGE (I STILL WONDER IF I GOT THE RIGHT KID AT THE HOSPITAL) AND KEVIN (19), A RECENT GRADUATE OF GLENDORA HIGH, WHERE HE WAS ALSO A GOOD STUDENT AND PLAYED BASEBALL (NO DOUBT THIS ONE IS MINE). IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE IT'S BEEN 35 YEARS. HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WELL!

Well, I went to UCLA, Berkelely, and graduated from the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. I traveled internationally and taught elementary school for 12 years. I've been married for 20 years and have a 15 year old son, Derek, who attends Loyola High School in Los Angeles. I co-own and continue to run my family's Mexican restaurant, Mijares, in Pasadena. I am very involved in community affairs and sit on various boards and foundations.

After graduation from John Muir, I attended Occidental College, receiving my BA in political science, while during my senior year I married my D.C. sweetheart...While supporting her during her matriculation from Howard university...and working in a Community Development Organization, the U.S. Postal Service, and various other endeavors to support a family of 3 sons (#1 son just finished Yale Law; #2 son is 2nd year U. Penn Med; #3 son is 3rd year Stanford Law); I attended Howard University Law School, and passed the D.C. Bar in 1983 (also, the year of my divorce).

I now continue to practice Criminal and Traffic Law in the District of Columbia, and consider myself in semi-retirement without a clue of what it means to prepare for estate planning, senior citizenship or social security...I do know that my ultimate dream is to retire to Jamaica with my boobiedo sweetheart and eat a mango every morning with my daily cup of blue mountain coffee...etc. etc., etc.
